01 / 07 · Every Zorpian carries a real company

The Idea

Zorpians began as two obsessions that refused to stay separate: a sketchbook that kept filling up with Zorpians, and the suspicion that an NFT could own something real. So we welded the two together. Every Zorpian carries real stock, assigned the moment it is minted, and it never lets go.

The passenger seat is deliberate. Somebody always gets brought along.

A picture that works

Most collections ask a picture to do everything: be the art, be the community, be the reason the floor holds. We love the art side, it is where this whole project began, but attention is a rough material to build on. It leaks.

So we gave the picture a second job. A Zorpian owns stock: shares of companies you already know, issued as real tokens on Robinhood Chain, bought daily and deposited into an account that belongs to the NFT itself. No points, and no promise to be defined later.

You pick one for the art. You keep it for what it carries.

The longer a Zorpian sits in a wallet, the more its own wallet holds. It sounds simple written down, and it quietly reorganises everything around it: how rarity works, why holding beats flipping, and what exactly changes hands when one is sold.

Why Robinhood Chain

Because it is the one place where none of this has to be synthetic. Robinhood issues real stocks on chain as tokens. NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, SpaceX and the rest exist there as tradeable assets with live prices, on a network where gas costs next to nothing. When a Zorpian is credited stock, it is the same token anyone on that chain can hold, trade or withdraw.

We hold ourselves to that standard everywhere: every number on the site is either read live from the chain or clearly marked as an illustration.

Not a points system. Not a promise. Running today.
